A Bit About Me

After being laid off due to a shortage of work in the warehouse once again, I decided it was time to move onward and upward, to fulfill a dream of becoming a professional chef.

My love of cooking stems from my time working with the owner of a small cafe in Aylmer, Ontario. Her passion and experience taught me so many things I didn’t know about food. Under her guidance my own passion and talents came shining through. It was one of the happiest times of my life, preparing and cooking food in a commercial kitchen.

In my down time, I find myself in the kitchen mixing ingredients and preparing foods to bring together new dishes, and attempting to improve on old favourites. I thrive on challenges and continuous learning.

I also enjoy spending time with my five children who are all adults now, as well as my Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Tempe. Some of my other hobbies include reading novels and culinary books, visiting small shops, trying different restaurants, and sitting and watching movies with my new husband.
